Monday, 14h March

In a venue befitting of the theatrics that played out between two superb teams Monday night, a packed Avalon Theatre unveiled a show that had all the intensity of some of boxing's biggest fight nights.  With a playoff spot on the line, the evening's duel had been dubbed "The Brawl to Settle it All". The brawl was ultimately controlled by the Los Angeles Matadors, who cruised to a 4-1 win over the Mexico City Guerreros.

With the win, the Matadors booked their place in the play-offs, which start on April 1, and extended their record against Mexico City to 3-1 for the regular season.  In dispatching the Guerreros Monday night, the Matadors also put an end to the five-game winning streak held by their Southern rivals.
