Joel Casey (11-8-3, 6 KOs) scored a twelve round split decision over WBA #3 light heavyweight Tim Bell (18-5-1, 14 KOs). Scores Brett McCormick 115-112, Dale Westerman 115-112, Peter Falherty 112-116. The fight see-sawed and Bell dropped Casey in round eleven but Casey survived to hear the final bell and scored the biggest win of his career.

Welterweight Tim Hunt (7-2, 3 KOs) clearly outscored Filipino Junmar Dulog (6-22-2, 3 KOs) over eight rounds by scores of 79-74, 78-75, 79-73

Susie Ramadan (17-0, 6 KOs) defeated Thailand’s Ploysuay Sakrungruang (0-8) over eight rounds by scores 80-71, 80-71, 80-71. Ramadan is currently rated IBF #3 female 118 pounder.

Super middleweight Serge Yannick (9-1, 6 KOs) defeated Joshua Tai (2-6, 1 KO) when referee Brett McCormick disqualified Tai in round five for continual infringements.

Welterweight Jesus Pabon (15-1, 9 KOs) scored an eighth round stoppage over veteran Ernesto “Baby” Zepeda (39-14-4, 34 KOs)

Unbeaten Cuban Olympian featherweight Luis Franco (6-0, 5 KOs) scored an impressive fifth round TKO over veteran Yogli “Olafo” Herrera (25-12, 15 KOs).

Unbeaten super featherweight Eloy Perez (18-0-2, 5 KOs) scored a fifth round TKO over Derrick Campos (20-9, 11 KOs).

Junior welterweight Carlos Molina (13-0, 7 KOs) won by fifth round TKO when Glenn Gonzales (8-2, 4 KOs) couldn’t come out for round six.

Welterweight prospect Anthony Martinez (5-0, 4 KOs) went the distance, taking split decision against experienced journeyman Cristian Favela (19-28-6, 10 KOs).

Heavyweight Chris Arreola (29-2, 25 KOs) took a twelve round unanimous decision over Manuel Quezada (29-6, 18 KOs).

Welterweight fight, WBC #8 rated super lightweight and local favorite Josesito Lopez (27-3, 15 KOs) defeated Marvin Cordova (21-2-1, 11 KOs) over eight rounds by scores of 77-74, 78-73, 78-73.

Bantamweight Michael Ruiz Jr. stopped Matthew Salazar in the second round of a scheduled four round bout.

Promoter Don King is looking to put together a fight between World Boxing Council welterweight champion Andre Berto (26-0, 20 KO’s) and former WBA light welterweight champion Andriy Kotelnik (31-4-1, 13 KO’s) for November of this year, and wants the winner of that fight to fight the winner of the January 29th fight between IBF/WBC junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander vs. WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

Amir Khan  -- World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) prefers to be fighting lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez in December. However, if Marquez opts to stay at lightweight and fight WBO lightweight interim champion Michael Katsidis instead, then the 23-year-old Khan will have to settle for fighting either Marcos Maidana or Victor Ortiz. In an interview at the BBC.co.uk, Khan says “I’m looking Marquez, Maidana or Victor Ortiz in December. I always promised the fans that I’m going to bring big fights to England and that’s what I’m hoping for.

The fight between Marco Antonio Barrera and David Diaz, which was scheduled for September 15, will not happen. According to Box Scene - the Mexican boxer instead  will go with his family in Cancun for vacation.

Gonzalez to headline Hilton -- Former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (45-7, 39 KOs), of Mexico City, will headline a Mexican Independence Day card at the Hilton in Las Vegas, Wednesday, Sept. 15, when he takes on Australian Jackson Asiku (26-3, 14 KOs) for the IBO featherweight title.

Freddie Roach -- will be going to the Ukraine for the first time on August 30th for the big boxing show at Lenin Square, Donetsk. The main event features WBA welterweight champion Viacheslav Senchenko (30-0, 20 KOs) defending against Charlie Jose Navarro (18-3, 13 KOs). Roach will work Senchenko’s fight as well as that of EBU (European) featherweight champion Oleh Yefimovych (18-1, 11 KOs) against Sofiane Takoucht (19-1, 9 KOs). It’s also possible that Roach will in the corner of former WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko (21-2-2, 7 KOs), who fights former IBO super flyweight champion Mbwana Matumla (19-4, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBC International super flyweight title on August 28th at Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Kiev, Ukraine.
