This is what Mayweather himself has to say about all this on his Facebook page: “A real boss moves when he’s ready, not when told.” It seems that the man has his own time line and will not let anyone push him into anything till he feels that he is ready.

Miguel Cotto -- Despite having shoulder surgery on his right shoulder, World Boxing Association junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28 KO’s) will still go ahead with his December 4th fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30 KO’s) at a still to be determined location.

Featherweight Ronny Rios won by fourth round knockout over Leivi Brea in a scheduled six round bout at Club Nokia in L.A.
Welterweight Antonio Orozco (8-0, 5 KO’s) remained unbeaten with a hard-fought six round unanimous decision over Humberto Tapia Junior Welterweight Jonathan Bobadilla won a four round unanimous decision over Juan Alfonso Figueroa.
Middleweight Bastie Samir (4-0, 4 KO’s) stopped Jacob Alvarez in the first round of a scheduled four round bout.

Unbeaten middleweight Hamid Rahimi (16-0, 6 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Armen Azizian (9-11, 1 KO) to claim the vacant WBA PABA title on Thursday night on a private boxing show in Rostock, Germany.

Juan Manuel López and Rafael Márquez -- The highly anticipated SHOWTIME-televised clash between WBO featherweight world champion Juan Manuel López and Rafael Márquez could be rescheduled for October 23 or 30. The original date was September 18 in Las Vegas, but Márquez had to pull out with a thumb injury on his right hand.

Kelly Pavlik -- Former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KO’s) could be one of the big names on the undercard of the November 13th title fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. Other names being mentioned are Bernabe Concepcion (28-4, 15KOs) and Ricardo Cordoba (37-2-2, 23KOs) as possible candidates to face two-time Olympic gold medal winner Guillermo Rigondeaux (6-0, 5KOs)
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is interested in putting together an impressive undercard for that fight and Pavlik is one of the names on their short list.

Boxing Vs MMA -- This Saturday night, two legends will collide in the octagon for bragging rights. The Ultimate Fighting Championship debuts in the state of Massachusetts at the TD Garden in Boston. One of the most talked about fights on this particular pay-per-view card, UFC 118, will showcase a boxing vs. mixed martial arts encounter when James "Lights Out" Toney makes his MMA debut against Randy "The Natural" Couture.
