Huck  Vs Godfrey -- Serbian-born, WBO cruiserweight (200 pounds) champion Marco "Captain" Huck of Germany will pursue his 11th straight win, his ninth knockout during that time, and his third straight stoppage victory on Saturday night when he takes on Rhode Island's Matt Godfrey in the fourth defense of his title before his hometown fans in Erfurt, Thüringen, Germany.

BurgosVs Guia? -- The Games and Amusements Board boxing division says it has not issued Joan de Guia a clearance to fight undefeated Juan Carlos Burgos who is an excellent fighter with a record of 24-0 with 16 knockouts in a battle for the WBC Youth world featherweight championship.

De Guia has a record of 7-10-4 with 2 knockouts with  5 of his 10 losses coming by way of knockouts.

Zab Judah Vs Michael Clark - Former International Boxing Federation light welterweight and undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah (39-6, 27 KO’s) face 37-year-old Michael Clark (40-5-1, 18 KO’s) on October 2nd, at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey.

His promoter Kathy Duva has been attempting to line up better opposition for Judah, however was un-successful in finding takers. – Judah needs to tune up with lesser opposition before he can go after the larger fry.

Guillermo Rigondeaux Vs Jose Angel Beranza -- Cuban-born, two-time former Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux will take on Jose Angel Beranza Espino on Saturday night in a Top Rank Promoted Fox Sports-televised eight-rounder in Tijuana, Mexico.

Rigondeaux a 29-year-old, southpaw and former seven-time national champion in his native country Cuba now lives in Los Angeles. Last February  Rigondeaux took out his opponent Mexican Adolfo Landeros in just 28 seconds of round one.

Joksan ‘Torito’ Hernández  Vs Marlon ‘Rata’ Aguilar  -- This Saturday in Tijuana, Joksan ‘Torito’ Hernández from Ensenada will face Marlon ‘Rata’ Aguilar in the Municipal Auditorium in Tijuana in a fight agreed to for 10 rounds at featherweight. Hernandez will share with billboard with Jackie "Aztec Princess" Nava, the interim super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council, who will defend her belt against Colombian Maria 'Pantera' Miranda. The show will be broadcast by TV Azteca.

Hugo Cazares Vs Alberto Rossel -- Hugo Cazares (32-6-2, 23KOs) will make the second defense of his WBA super flyweight title against Alberto Rossel (24-7, 11KOs) on October 9 in Mexico. Rossel won his last six and remained unbeaten since 2007. He is the WBA Fedelatin flyweight champion. Cazares captured the title by winning a decision over Nobuo Nashiro in May. He returned in July to stop Everardo Morales in seven rounds.

Vitali Klitschko Vs Shannon Briggs -- WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (40-2, 38 KO’s) will be taking on the 38-year-old Shannon Briggs (51-5-1, 45 KO’s), on October 16th in Hamburg, Germany.

Light-welterweight contender Frankie Figueroa is considering his future in the sport today, as he announced on his Facebook page that he is not sure if he will ever fight again.

The Puerto Rican born, New York based fighter although a top notch fighter has never had a big break in boxing and is frustrated at the lack of quality opposition and big name fights for him to take on.
