SHARK FIGHTS 16: NEER VS JUAREZ was held Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, Texas

In the main event, former UFC fighter Josh "The Dentist" Neer won his thirtieth MMA fight after former MFC fighter Jesse "The King" Juarez was unable to come out for the second citing a hand injury. Neer has now won 5 out of 6 fights since his release from the UFC, losing once in a non-title Bellator superfight to Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez. Juarez, on the other hand, has now lost back-to-back fights following a 9-fight winning streak.

In the co-main event, Artenas "Chico" Young won a unanimous decision over Elvis "The King" Mutapcic. After almost 14 minutes of lackluster fighting, Young turned up the heat in the final minute of the fight and bloodied up Mutapcic before getting his hand raised for the victory.
